Mid of July, Mike and I went to fly fishing trip to "Katsuragawa-oshino" where is one of most famous fly fishing creek in Japan, and we affectionately call just "Oshino". Generally, Japanese trout rivers are freestone and mountain stream, but Oshino is the spring creek from Mt. Fuji. As well, Oshino is very close to sightseeing spot and we are able to going by direct highway bus from Shinjuku, major station in Tokyo. |

Many trouts swim in the stream but fishing condition was not good. Trouts were slow...
Mike fished up a rainbow trout on hampy fly and I caught some rainbows. In evening time, finally I fished up Yamame trout. It is one of domestic trout in Japan. I feel contented that one. It was not so big, however beautiful indeed. The river trout fishing continue until the end of September. |
